THE STORY

In Latvia, reliable grape harvests are the exception, not the rule. So Abavas started working with what the land actually gives every year. Rhubarb grows here without question. This is what came out of that thinking — sparkling wine made entirely from rhubarb, fermented at low temperature to keep its character intact. The winery sits in the Abava river valley in Tukuma county, and everything they make proves that the Baltics belong on the wine map. This bottle is the proof.

WINEMAKING DETAILS

100% Latvian rhubarb. Fermented at low temperature. Classical sparkling method. Bottled and produced within six months of harvest. Contains sulfites.

SERVING NOTE

Serve well chilled, around 6–8°C. Put it in the fridge for 30 minutes before opening. Already cold? Open and pour straight away.

No sediment, no decanting needed. This one is ready.
