WHO WE ARE

We're Zhenya and Dasha. Between vineyard visits, sommelier training, and years working in restaurants and wine bars across Europe, we'd tasted enough to know exactly what we were looking for. What we kept finding — and falling for — were wines we wanted to see on tables in Berlin and Warsaw, the cities we call home. So we decided to bring them there ourselves.

Zhenya
is a certified sommelier with years of formal training and practical experience in vineyards across France, Georgia, and Austria. She curates Stranger Wine's entire selection, builds our relationships with winemakers, and shapes everything from the portfolio concept to our monthly Wine Club picks.

Dasha
brings years of experience in hospitality and a genuine enthusiasm for wine that runs just as deep. At Stranger Wine, she leads our B2B side — connecting with restaurants, wine bars, hotels, and brand partners across Berlin, and building the relationships that bring our wines to the right tables.

Together, we started Stranger Wine because we kept falling for bottles that came from places most wine lists had never heard of — and we wanted to share that feeling. We're always chasing the next interesting find, always traveling, always tasting, and always open to new collaborations, ideas, and people who want to explore with us.
