THE STORY

Ryšák means "ginger-haired" in Czech — an old regional name for a style that mixes red and white grapes in the same ferment. The result drinks like a rosé, but carries a touch of orange-wine grip from the skin contact on the white varieties.

This is a field blend of many red and white grapes grown together across several plots around Němčičky, on loam and sandy soils, from vines averaging over 45 years old. It's a wilder, more playful bottle than Richard's single-varietal work — built for easy drinking first, with enough structure underneath to reward a slower glass too.

WINEMAKING DETAILS

Field blend of red and white grapes, co-fermented across several organically farmed plots in Němčičky (vines 45+ years). Hand-harvested, whole-bunch fermentation in open-top barrels for 2–3 days, indigenous yeast. Foot-stomped, then aged 1 year in old acacia barrels of various sizes, with regular batonnage. Zero sulphites added, unfined, unfiltered.

SERVING NOTE

Chill for 30–40 minutes before serving — best around 10–12°C. No decanting needed; it's built for easy, immediate drinking.
