Bleu de Hongrie 2024 — Kolonia 52, Hungary (Balaton) — €25
Grown on a volcano, guarded by a dragon. Kékfrankos — the grape behind Hungary's legendary Bull's Blood — whole-cluster, half foot-stomped, no added sulphites. The hill it grows on hides an ice cave that stays frozen even in midsummer. Locals call it the Dragon Cave and say St George killed the beast that lived there. That's the dragon on the label.
Lunatique 2024 — Racines Rebelles, Luxembourg (Moselle) — €39
One woman. One moon. Her only red. St. Laurent is one of Europe's moodiest grapes — it buds dangerously early, drops its own flowers and rots at the first excuse. Kaja Kohv farms her vines alone in white wine country and still makes this red. "Lunatic" comes from luna: for centuries people believed the full moon drove you mad.

Elderberry from the tree you're not supposed to touch. Every ingredient fermented separately, then blended on a kombucha base — zero alcohol, full red-wine structure. In Danish folklore every elder tree has a guardian, the Elder Mother. Take a branch without asking her first, and bad luck follows you home.
